What previous training in Greek or Latin, if any, do you require?
We recommend that students have 2 years (or the equivalent) so that they are at the high-intermediate level in each language. With this background, they are prepared to take our Post-Bac seminars, intensive language courses open only to Post-Bacs. However, we have had students come to the program with less preparation in one or both languages; we consider all applications because no matter what the level, students can gain further training in their languages in our program.

Most students spend one year (two semesters) in our program, though some stay for a second year.

Are there special post-bac courses in your program or are students integrated into existing grad/undergrad courses?
Each semester we offer one Greek and one Latin seminar open only to Post-Bac students. Individual students can, after consulting with the program director, choose to take lower-level language courses or graduate seminars instead.
